I would have gone anyway, but as they're signed up to EOTHO, I switched it to tomorrow. That way I can afford takoyaki as well as tonkatsu ramen (I may even push the boat out and have some sake as well. I know that's not included in the price).

Re: Eat Out to Help Out
Some restaurants and pubs are withdrawing from the Eat Out to Help Out scheme because of "hostility towards staff" because people are terrible.

Matches what son and GF say after a trip to Salcombe: local restaurant is sick of staff getting yelled at e.g. by morons who order a huge meal they can't then pay for because they don't understand the £10/head limit.shpalman wrote: ↑Sun Aug 16, 2020 8:37 amSome restaurants and pubs are withdrawing from the Eat Out to Help Out scheme because of "hostility towards staff" because people are terrible.

I'm waiting for the next dead cat.

Well, there's this weekend's news. Not exactly a dead cat but still.

Eat out to help out was discussed by More or Less on Wednesday. Looks like the scheme did increase transmission, but not by very much. Probably sped up the Alpha wave by a few days.
