Goodbye, the Amazing Randi

Post by Squeak » Fri Oct 23, 2020 7:34 am

I'm not entirely sure that I trust him to stay in his coffin, even at 92, but there's a rather nice obituary of James Randi in the NY Times today, so it's probably true that 2020 has played another cruel trick on us.

The world is a slightly greyer place without him in it.

Is it 2021 yet? I think I've had enough of this year.

I’m guessing Squeak wouldn’t want to repeat this sentiment
where once I used to scintillate
now I sin till ten past three

Years have been going downhill consistently since about 2015.
We have the right to a clean, healthy, sustainable environment.

FTFY.

And the few million before that weren't great, either. Ever since homonids came down from the trees.

Coming out of the oceans was the big mistake.

Well, I spied a girl and before she could leave
“Let’s go and play Adam and Eve”
I took her by the hand and my heart it was thumpin’
When she said, “Hey man, you crazy or sumpin’
You see what happened last time they started"
To defy the laws of tradition is a crusade only of the brave.
