Woah. Peter Navarro in custody

I bet he’s regretting this interview

He also told Melber he was concerned about going to prison, given that he's 72 and "the average life span in America for an American male is 76 years old."

“If I were to go to prison for a year, which is what the contempt of charge could do to me, that would be about a fourth of my remaining life,” Navarro said.
I see the Party of Law and Order rides again.

What was that about not doing the crime if you can't do the time?

From https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2020-e ... -rcna31856 Peter Navarro is quoted as saying:

With people as smart as this on their side, it's easy to see why Trump's supporters struggle to make sense. He's in for a bit of a surprise when he reaches 77 and then tries to work out whether to sign up for a one-month subscription to something or an annual one.

This 12 minute CNN video is worth watching.

https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/202 ... gs-vpx.cnn

They’ve got lots of new stuff including confirmation that Trump contact anyone to protect the Capitol (suspected but now beyond doubt) that the Proud Boys arrived at the Capitol in an arranged fashion and prepared to take over before Trump’s speech (!) and that everyone close to Trump (including his daughter and Bill Barr) had told him the election results were legit

Think Stranger Mouse is referring to the fact that Trump did not order in any law enforcement or the National Guard to protect the Capitol and the people inside.

Yes I got the reference but couldn't parse which suspicion had been confirmed. There was a horribly obvious difference in the way the Capitol was undefended on Jan 6th compared to during the BLM protests where it appeared to be ringed by imperial stormtroopers 3 ranks deep. I'm curious to know whether Trump can be connected to any instructions issued or indeed not issued to the Capitol police. Did he instruct them not to act in anticipation of having to control "his" crowd?

Yeah sorry for the mistype. It should have been “didn’t contact”. Basically he made no contact with absolutely anyone to protect the Capitol (it was all Pence) despite his previous claims https://www.newsweek.com/fact-check-did ... ol-1560186

If you watch the video I think you’ll find the Capitol police we’re in general more concerned with staying alive rather than anything.

More stuff coming out

Cheney with a hilarious video clip of an interview although I don’t think it’s supposed to be funny

This does not look good for Representative Barry Loudermilk who took people on a tour prior to 6th January - read this letter.

Video here - sound up for the threats

Loudermilk’s earlier denials and the opinion of the Capitol police that there was nothing to see here look a bit strange now

Nine page document called 1776 Returns found in Proud Boy possession. Quite the read.

Also has a lawyer suggesting that the defence would be that it just shows plans for demonstration and protest rather than insurrection

bl..dy Hell

A fugitive Chinese mogul who has worked closely with Steve Bannon—and who is under federal investigation for fraud—spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to support efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

Through a series of opaque financial transactions, a company controlled by the exiled businessman Guo Wengui spent more than $400,000 for hundreds of his supporters to take part in a November 14, 2020, rally in Washington promoting Donald Trump’s false claims of election fraud. The company also gave $100,000 to an organization run by prominent pro-Trump attorney Lin Wood—apparently to finance litigation that was aimed at reversing Joe Biden’s victory in Georgia. These payments are detailed in receipts, wire transfer records, and WhatsApp messages obtained by Mother Jones.
