Exactly what the title says. New journal, peer reviewed, options for pseudonyms, regular submissions, claim it later etc. Should prove interesting.

It seems publication using a pseudonym can be truly anonymous.
Instructions for authors say...
Authors should set up an email address to use exclusively to communicate with us. The email address should not include any reference to the author's name or other personal details. We recommend using an encrypted email service, such as ProtonMail. Authors should regularly check the email address while their manuscript is under consideration, since it will be the only means we have to communicate with them, and to provide updates as to the status of their manuscript. We strongly recommend using an email address that is not provided by a third party, such as an employer, that can claim a right to read the content of the author’s emails.

I'm quite sure that the chance to publish one's controversial ideas *in a peer-reviewed journal* definitely won't attract large numbers of racists, Holocaust deniers, climate "skeptics", and anti-vaxxers.

IIRC it’s one of the founding tenets of science; the ability to anonymously publish ideas without the option to certify academia credentials, confirm lack of undisclosed COIs, assess previous publications or in any sense hold the authors accountable in anyway for their views.
I mean only good things can come from all that, Shirley.

The approach to pseudonymity is interesting, but what's the point of having 'controversial' ideas if you can't use them to hitch a ride on the Big Right Wing Grift Wagon?

That's probably the second fatal flaw in this journal.
The first being that there aren't really any controversial ideas with any merit that you can't publish in regular journals. You just have to word it correctly.

So I could write an anonymous paper comprising of absolute bollocks to a disreputable journal, and then submit a similarly bollocksy non-anonymous paper to another disreputable journal, but cite the first load of bollocks as a source?
Seems legit.

Hhm. It would probably take a talented young hacker about five minutes to get the true identities. But that would be wrong, of course.
It's pretty much vanity publishing. Someone thinks their ideas are SO important the world deserves to hear them.

Cowardly vanity publishing - their ideas are so important but they don't have the courage to stand by them.

It's a homeopathic journal; the fewer reviews an article gets, the more potent the ideas.

Maybe someone should start up a "Journal of uncontroversial ideas"
..so research such as "Arboreal areas and the probability of ursine excreta" or "Papal catholicism index" can be published, peer-reviewed, and cited whenever making an obvious point

The best kind of bacon is that which is on my plate rather than someone else's
My partner is a fundamentalist "cream or jam first but I can't remember which"..I have had many dozens of scones where I've done top half one way and bottom half the other and really can't tell the difference.
But re the pronunciation: when it's on the plate in front of you, it's a SKONE; when you've eaten it, it's SKON
The journal sounds like it has merit
