I love the idea that changing PM is a bad idea because of a war in Europe we aren't involved in, when the last time we actually were at war in Europe, we changed PM.
Top work! I like that.

BREAKING.

Rushi Sunak refuses to pay fine. Says: "I've never contributed a penny to society and I'm not about to start now."

Might annoy some people in the Former Yugoslavia who think they've been forgotten about though.

You're allowed to change PM during a war you are fighting in. Twice during WW2. Once during WW1.

But this isn't our war. British troops aren't fighting. Obviously this rules out changing PM until it's over.
Meanwhile, France are electing a President without endangering Ukraine

Rishi releases bland apology but doesn’t resign
I’ve decided I should be on the pardon list if that’s still in the works

Pity. I was hoping for

If Labour have any sense they'll start doing puns like Crime Minister, labouring the point trump style.

Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.
We have the right to a clean, healthy, sustainable environment.

I mean, clearly it is possible. Tory MPs don't give a sh.t. Tory voters don't pay attention. And the whole Westminster system relies on honesty and decency rather than enforcement of rules.

Indeed, and remember the pearl clutching by Tory MPs when Blackford said Johnson was lying.

Tory voters don't pay attention.
Or even worse they are paying attention but are being fed a constant diet of this sort of arse-gravy:-

Image

So hysterical Lefties should stop whinging that the Prime Minister is a pathological liar and unrepentant criminal and just let him get on with the important job of ... *checks notes* ... installing Russian agents into the House of Lords in exchange for big bags of lovely, lovely money
This place is not a place of honor, no highly esteemed deed is commemorated here, nothing valued is here.
What is here was dangerous and repulsive to us.
This place is best shunned and left uninhabited.

As plenty of people have pointed out, we changed PM twice during WW2.

TBF the Mail was cheering for "the other guy" at the time so they mightn't have the same POV of WW2 as normal, non-evil people. ;)

The PM & Chancellor got the big calls right during the pandemic & are now leading the fight against Putin's illegal war in Ukraine

They have rightly apologised. We must now move forwards & get on with delivering for people

There is a war on. That's why we need competent leadership, including leadership that doesn't piss our allies off so much he ends up not invited to meetings.

I noticed at the bottom of a twitter thread I was reading that Kate Hoey has re-tweeted the DM front page without comment.

I can only assume approvingly*. :?

Her mindless bigotry really has taken her on a very strange political journey. :|

Crispin Blunt: I have tweeted the most insensitive tweet of all time.

Edwina Currie: Hold my champers.

I think the crying emoji at the end shows how sincere she is.

Their leader didn't change until he shot himself in 1945.

Not sure if it was this forum or another that used the initialism SMOIK to mean “smiley makes it ok” when someone said something offensive then put an emoji after it.

Some of the replies are great.

It's like watching a limbo contest. Just when you think the bar can't go any lower...

I said this at the Job Centre the other day and my job adviser said “they dig a hole under the limbo pole”
