Right that's it, I told my gf that we're going to have a full inquiry on whose fault it is that I haven't changed the bathroom lights yet like I promised. In the meantime I'm not going to be able to make any comments.
And obviously no electrical work can be undertaken until this world beating far reaching inquiry has published its conclusions.

You also can't confirm that you live in the house until the inquiry is completed

She did try and complain; so clearly she's playing politics on a very important issue, and I think she should reflect on that instead.

Typical Remoaners!

In 2016 the Will O'The People was expressed permanently as a vague aspiration to leave the EU and become Norway or Switzerland or something.

Therefore this represents an irrevocable mandate for Warumich NOT to change the lightbulb.

Any suggestion that lightbulbs were never mentioned in the referendum, or that it is possible to both change the lightbulb and still leave the EU or that now the reality of wandering around in the dark bumping into the furniture while muttering this is definitely not what you voted for and have therefore changed your mind is the worst form of anti-democratic patronising elitism.

People knew what they were voting for!

You lost so get used to pointlessly stubbing your toe on the coffee table FOREVER because that's how democracy works; you vote once and then you are not allowed to mention it ever again. I mean, as we all fully recall, that is exactly what the Eurosceptics did following their lost votes in the 70s after that they just politely shut-up, acquiesced to the vote and never mentioned Europe once in nearly 40 years instead choosing to focus on making EU-membership work for everyone.

Even if the lightbulb should be replaced, is it really a good idea to be changing fixtures and fittings while there is a war on in Ukraine?

I mean doesn't she know there's a war going on? I can't believe she'd be so callous.

With the rising cost of electricity you'd be better off not replacing it. You can pee in the dark, right?

Yes that's what we've been doing last couple of days.

I think we're going to have to accept that things are not going to be like they were before, and learn to live with it; move on with our lives.

I see a pattern developing.

The Party of Laura Norder are really excelling themselves ATM. Did Magna Carter die in vain?

The vox pops however are the same depressing story.

"I'm really sick of leopards eating people's faces in Wakefield. That's why I voted for the Leopards Eating People's Faces Party in 2019 as I really thought they were the best people to tackle this. Now I'm disgusted to find that all they do is feed people's faces to leopards! I'm now seriously considering not voting for the Leopards Eating People's Faces Party at the next election. But what is my alternative? I could vote for the Fluffy Kittens Party or the Putting Muzzles on Leopards Party but they are all the same ... Probably.

It's weird that repeatedly voting for Feline Visage Snacking policies over the last 40 years has produced a society where you can't open your front door now without an enraged big cat taking a chunk out of your cheek!"

Sorry to break up all the fun responses to Warumich, which I genuinely enjoyed, but I feel the need to point out that the Mail on Sunday are disgraceful misogynist scum.

As an aside Google’s news aggregator feed thingy currently summarises the story as “Angela Rayner accused of misogyny” .

I hope that’s some sort of AI f.ck-up because otherwise they can get back in the sea themselves.
