Charity Commission Chair

Post by Gfamily » Fri Dec 17, 2021 9:35 pm

As many people here may know, there was concern at a perceived threat that the Government would appoint a totally inappropriate politically engaged candidate as the new Chair of the Charity Commission - as part of their 'War on Woke'

So; as reported by the Good Law Project
When the Government announced that Martin Thomas was their preferred candidate for the new Chair of the Charity Commission, many people in the charity sector breathed a sigh of relief.
Hmmm - turns out, there's other reasons why people might be totally inappropriate.

Spoiler:
My avatar was a scientific result that was later found to be 'mistaken' - I rarely claim to be 100% correct
ETA 5/8/20: I've been advised that the result was correct, it was the initial interpretation that needed to be withdrawn
Meta? I'd say so!
