Dodgy Tory Donor - surely not!

I'm sure all this will turn out to be a simple misunderstanding [/lawyerly suggestion]

My avatar was a scientific result that was later found to be 'mistaken' - I rarely claim to be 100% correct
ETA 5/8/20: I've been advised that the result was correct, it was the initial interpretation that needed to be withdrawn
Meta? I'd say so!

Not conspicuously worse than Sir Ehud Sheleg, who has not only given them several million, but was also treasurer of the Conservative Party for a couple of years until recently, and got a knighthood. It would obviously be quite wrong of me to suggest he got that knighthood for his donations. The National Crime Agency has flagged a donation from him of £450k as possible money laundering. His art gallery business serves Russian oligarch customers, and operate through London and Cyprus.
