The pageantry and traditions are interesting, along with who is there, who is involved in the service, all the bling, uniforms, medals, hats etc. And the usual dreary C of E hymns. Presumably the leaders of other religions are there somewhere too.

And unlike Blackadder, Will the Bard, etc., we weren't subjects of Elizabeth I, or Elizabeth II, and aren't subjects of Charles III.
Throughout, we've been citizens of the United Kingdoms of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, not subjects of a particular monarch of those kingdoms.

I remember that I read

The pageantry and traditions are interesting, along with who is there, who is involved in the service, all the bling, uniforms, medals, hats etc. And the usual dreary C of E hymns. Presumably the leaders of other religions are there somewhere too.
There was a bit of discussion the other day about a multifaith meeting held on friday. Charles was commended for telling a rabbi that it was time for him to leave to ensure he was home for the sabbath, and for bringing the meeting forward a little to allow the rabbi to attend. On the other hand, what kind of person holds a multifaith event on a friday evening anyway? Better to hold it on a day when orthodox jews aren't going to be worrying about the start of shabbat and where the muslims aren't worrying about fitting it round friday prayers.
