One thing I don’t think I’d even heard of before was range rating of your boiler. This means reducing the heat output of the central heating so that it matches the heat loss of your house. There is a proper way to work this out, but I’m taking the suck it and see approach. Boilers normally get installed with factory settings which means heat output is set to 100%, which is very likely too much heat for your house.
