I'm not a lawyer, but I'm not sure forgetting to tick the box that says "jury trial, please" then having a go at the judge who decides how much you will pay out was the bestest idea -

It's working for me. I blame Musk.
But here's what it says:
Hugo Lowell wrote:Trump isn’t getting a jury trial in his $250m civil fraud suit brought against him by New York AG James because his legal team didn’t request one on the paperwork

Trump's defense:
"My financial statements are phenomenal" - true enough
Although "My financial statements are fantastic" would be more accurate.

It’s possible I got overexcited by the defence stating that we would hear testimony from Trump(s). Still, if people on Xitter are to be trusted (and who is more trustworthy?) the Attorney General can call Trump as a witness.

He'll be boasting next that the IRS have told him his tax returns are 'outstanding'

From
Politico:
A group of moderate New York Republicans huddled in Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s office ahead of an anticipated Tuesday afternoon vote to try and oust the speaker.
“The meeting went well, I think the consensus is that Matt Gaetz is an a..hole,” said Rep. Anthony D’Esposito (R-N.Y.) following the meeting.

Trump's been told to keep his yapper from yapping by the fraud judge. I hope he can't do it, a contempt charge would be fun.
Meanwhile, John Kelly (his former chief of staff) isn't keeping his yapper from yapping-

Indecision 2023 incoming? (for speaker).

The motion to not have to vote on that failed, so now they're doing the actual vote. The reading clerk is up to the H surnames so far.

Given that both sides are the GOP, what do you mean by "Lose" here...

I've only seen one switcher mentioned so far, with only 4 Rs who voted to go ahead with the vote left? McCarthy needs 5 switchers, right?

Pfft, there was supposed to be a he's in there.
I think I could argue that it's still accurate though.

Well it did for McCarthy*, but I bet someone new will be doing it soon(ish).
*Who isn't actually that far from the far right, as far as I can tell.

It says 'R-CA', so yes he's far right adjacent. He wants to ban all immigration, ban healthcare for women, ban books, ban gay marriage, ban transgender health care, and supported Trump's attempts to overthrow the election.
