They better not postpone Arrestmas Day. I'm already wearing my party hat. They better not cancel Arrestmas Day.

White arrestees seem to have a higher survival rate than black arrestees.

There is no data on orange arrestees.

If I was planning on arresting Trump, and he'd announced a call for protests on the Tuesday when he claim it'd happen, I'd arrest him either at 5 am on Wednesday if I was feeling nice, or at 9pm on Friday if I wanted him to fester in a holding cell all weekend.

AMLO supports Trump.
Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador on Tuesday defended Donald Trump, saying a potential indictment of the former president could be a move to prevent him from seeking reelection.

"Right now, former President Trump is declaring that they are going to arrest him," López Obrador, who is also known by his initials AMLO, said during a press conference. "If that were the case...it would be so that his name doesn't appear on the ballot."
López Obrador, who became president in 2018, has said election fraud caused him to lose his attempts to gain the office in 2006 and 2012.

"I say this because I too have suffered from the fabrication of a crime, when they didn't want me to run," López Obrador said Tuesday while discussing Trump. "And this is completely anti-democratic.... Why not allow the people to decide?"

He could perhaps also sympathise with "Crooked" Hilary, whose email problems emerged with rather convenient timing for her electoral opponent.

I had thought of AMLO as a left wing populist anti-American democrat.

It just seems weird to see him aligning with Trump.

Been well reported since 2020.

No stranger than the connections with right wing/nationalist authoritarians cultivated by other Latin American (notionally) left wing strongmen like Nicolás Maduro (Venezuela), Evo Morales (Bolivia) and Daniel Ortega (Nicaragua). They tend to make friends with the like of Russia and Iran, even if Trump is not to their taste. China has similar tendencies. A common taste for authoritarianism seems to trump left wing/right wing distinctions, which tend to become moot in heavily authoritarian countries.

Initially Trump seemed to think he'd get on with Putin too, until he discovered that the defining feature of Putin was opposition to the USA/Western Europe.

Trump's been indicted by the NY grand jury.

clicky

His arrest should come soon. Unfortunately, his trial probably wont.

At least the second time she got to watch the shark show, unmolested by the "smaller than average toadstool".
I lay there, annoyed that I was getting f.cked by a guy with Yeti pubes and a dick like the mushroom character in Mario Kart... It may have been the least impressive sex I’d ever had.

Seems like we might finally discover who "Individual-1" was.

All we know so far is Individual-1 was the owner of a New York City real estate company and was running for President in October 2016 and instructed Michael Cohen to lie on his behalf. One of those intriguing mysteries.

Is there a chess term for a really obvious trap you set, that only a spectacularly stupid opponent would fall for?

Ron DeSantis has tried one, saying Florida won't assist in an extradition request if Trump doesn't surrender.

Worth a try Ron. Maybe Trump is that dumb.

Trump will probably turn himself in, he's got campaigning to do and he can't if he's stuck in Florida. So DeSantis won't be in the position to have to decide whether or not to extradite Trump, but by taking this stance he's not pissed of Trump's supporters.

It would make Trump look weak and dependent on DeSantis wouldn’t it? I don’t think Trump is stupid in that way.
