I think it depends on what's in writing.

At one end of the spectrum, any email or handwritten saying "We've got to hide this until after the election" would be an easy win.

But if all they have is a "I don't want embarrassment" type message it's too ambiguous. Trump will obviously pretend it was to keep it quiet from Melania. He has a pretty good defence in that he routinely did these hush money deals for decades when not in an election, so the election wasn't relevant.

Cohen's testimony isn't enough, if it's just verbal instructions, because Cohen is almost as notorious for lying and crime as Trump. We simply don't know what Bragg & Co have got in writing.

Remember the Girther conspiracy theories?

Our second favourite doctor, Ronny Jackson, signed Trump off in his White House physicals as 6'3 and 236 pounds, narrowly beating the "obese" label.

The NY police have recorded him as 6'1 and 270 pounds.

Fairly plausible that his weight could have changed in less time than that. The height, not so much. Although my dad who’s about the same age has definitely shrunk.

Pence isn't going to contest giving evidence to the Jan 6th inquiry. Could make life more difficult for Trump.

Wednesday brings:

Robert F Kennedy Jr, noted anti-vaxxer, has announced a run for the Presidency.

Let the fun times begin. Will Kennedy be able to drag the anti-vaccine Trump base over to the Democrats? Or will he crash and burn at the first hurdle?

I'm betting and hoping for an early burn. Shirley we can't elect the biggest douche in the universe...twice..?

Nevermind. Obviously we can and probably will.

Tucker's out on his arse, effective immediately. I guess costing your firm nearly a billion with more lawsuits on the way to ramp that number up yet higher is not conducive to continued employment.

Washington Post poll.

Trump slightly ahead over Biden (36 to 32, Q16). Biden also unpopular among Democrat supporters and most would like another candidate (Q12).

Anti-Trump voters didn’t really care about Biden when they voted for him last time. They’ll vote against Trump again.

Trump's lost in the E. Jean Carroll lawsuit. She's been awarded five million dollars. Obviously nothing would ever be sufficient to compensate her for what she went through, but I do hope this provides some comfort.

Trump has probably made than that just from being sued

I feel the settlement should have been substantially higher - the high profile would have made it much worse for her for starters.

George Santos, the lying Republican liar has been charged with something. My guess is the charity stuff, but he does lie a lot. In court soon.

He was working for a finance company that was shut down for being a classic ponzi scheme, so that's likely.

Given that he's already a fugitive from fraud charges in Brazil, are the prosecutors going to oppose bail, do we think?
