The start is so grim.

Hitting a child in public to demonstrate the approved manner to hit a child and for no other reason.
Have you considered stupidity as an explanation

because Jesus said hit children. Oh, wait. NO HE DIDN'T!! Bastards

[I suffered under nuns who seemed to really enjoy caning small (primary school age) children for eg, get this, not going to the correct mass (the children's mass) on sunday.]
WOULD CUSTOMERS PLEASE REFRAIN FROM SITTING ON THE COUNTER BY THE BACON SLICER - AS WE'RE GETTING A LITTLE BEHIND IN OUR ORDERS.

Fled, up to a point. EPD's link has her at North Greenville University:
NGU was granted an exception to Title IX in 2015 which allows it to legally discriminate against LGBT students for religious reasons. It is ranked among the "Absolute Worst Campuses for LGBTQ Youth" by Campus Pride.[4] Homosexual acts and all sex outside of marriage are grounds for expulsion from the school.[5]
She now seems to be at Furman University, which seems to be relatively sane; though I guess there are limited options for sane colleges in that part of the world.

(That's as much cyberstalking as I've done.)
