Vanmoof Electric bikes goes bankrupt

Since I'm working for Electrify Expo again this year, I hate to see this happen. There are gonna be even more great machines for show and sale this year. My favorite last year was a 20 inch BMX bike type thingie,, with awesome battery boosting power that really let's you haul ass with almost no effort.

Although surely someone must have seen this coming with vanmoof... doesn't Occam's razor apply to things too, such as bikes? What about things like "the plan" when it comes to doing business? Nobody realized they were buried in their own quagmire of overly complicated bad engineering? And so was everyone else?

I think several players dropped the ball and got technical fouls on this one.

Seems like an opportunity for a group of clever bike engineers to save the day if they can un-f.ck* the situation :geek:

*in the army, if you got told to un-f.ck the situation, you had better do it now and do it fast bc either the first Sgt or the captain is not happy

Mods/lizards pls move this if there's already a discussion

Bikes dont need apps... Its a lesson to all of us about buying anything with critical functionality unnecessarily tied to an app.

Good article from Electrek about this, including thoughts from the CMO of Ampler, Tuuli Jevstignejev.

That's a very annoying website with it's blue navigation bar popping up and down every f.cking time you move the mouse.
FFS! why is web design so f.cking bad at the moment? Web pages won't zoom, only the header changes size so it 100% or nothing, things pop up wherever you try to rest the cursor so you cant actually f.cking read the page... Actually I'll carry on, on a new thread.
