Not sure how much of a weighty matter this actually is. Apparently she's mildy peeved with the PM. Bye election might be interesting

I’d like a side helping of schadenfreude with extra spicy sauce.

She's obviously trying to embarrass Sunak as much as possible. Maybe for revenge, but also possibly to damage Sunak and pave the way for Johnson's return after a disastrous general election.

I can imagine the spin that would probably work on a lot of the membership, about the fact that Sunak turned Johnson's massive majority into a massive defeat. But the once and future leader will return in the Tory party's hour of need. Just as his role model, Churchill spent years in the wilderness.

She's even madder than I thought if she thinks Alex Boris dePfeffel is at all interest in being HM Leader of the Opposition.

Has she ever shown any connection to reality?

her latest book The Plot: The Political Assassination of Boris Johnson is due out in September.

Not sure if this latest sucking up is fiction or not.

She has form in making stuff up that purports to be fact and analysis. She once had to admit that most of what she published to her constituents, purporting to be fact and analysis, was actually made up. There is no evidence she is able to competent research and analysis.

She could hire a researcher but making stuff up is easier and no need to worry about pesky evidence

Plus, unlike facts, made up stuff will support her narrative.

When Dorries initially failed to follow through with the announcement that she would resign immediately, she then said she was staying on until she got answers about her failure to get a peerage.

Now that she has resigned, there is no mention of that point.
