Bye bye Biden
Biden has finally pulled out and backed Kamala Harris.
I haven't seen Trump's response yet.

I actually cried a little which caught me off guard and now I feel stoopid
I’ve decided I should be on the pardon list if that’s still in the works

When the news of Biden having Covid was released, I must admit I did wonder whether this could be start of an exit strategy that leaves him OK to finish his term but not to continue.
The problem with the 2 term limit on American presidents is that the way the nomination process is set up makes it quite difficult for a president in their 1st term to not be selected for a second term.

Trump is ranting about Biden not having covid which I suppose is possible although I think it’s more likely that covid took advantage of his suppressed immune system and he took advantage of covidMartin_B wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2024 1:35 amWhen the news of Biden having Covid was released, I must admit I did wonder whether this could be start of an exit strategy that leaves him OK to finish his term but not to continue.

There's a wave of CoVID at the moment. I had it three weeks ago.Stranger Mouse wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2024 6:49 amTrump is ranting about Biden not having covid which I suppose is possible although I think it’s more likely that covid took advantage of his suppressed immune system and he took advantage of covidMartin_B wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2024 1:35 amWhen the news of Biden having Covid was released, I must admit I did wonder whether this could be start of an exit strategy that leaves him OK to finish his term but not to continue.

Biden was out shaking hands and meeting people as part of a campaign.

Covid has been going up in Italy too, and I slightly suspect I may have caught it when I was in the Trieste region at the beginning of the month, which was always a noted antivax/antimask/f.ck you I won't do what you tell me hot-spot.
having that swing is a necessary but not sufficient condition for it meaning a thing
