Went to the Co-op*, 4 beers for £7. McKewans Champion and Marston (and some Septics) Shipyard IPA. Yes, the strongest.
Oh, and bourbon.
And we watched two episodes of Dragons and Tits, instead of IT.
*Irony. I know they're not the same thing but...

I was watching some weird stuff on ITV a little while ago where they were looking at the seats that were predicted to be Tory gains, and discussing why those particular seats went that way, such as how leavy they are, and noticing those effects.
The results aren't in yet! They're just reverse engineering the exit poll model and presenting it as news.

I'm watching all my lawyer pals on social media going on about moving to Scotland and then getting upset that they have to do exams. Suck it up.
Also I doubt it's going to be all sunshine and roses up here anyway given the Tories aren't going to allow another referendum.

It's worth stressing these northern results as they come in - they are amazing.
The working class areas of the north, totally trashed by Thatcher and never recovered, now falling to Tory gains. Mining areas voting Tory! It's unbelievable.

I’m in a complete “f.ck ‘em” mood. When the U.K. economy tanks and they get more impoverished and desperate than they are now, they’ll have nothing but my contempt. Brexit was a wedge issue appealing to base xenophobia, they fell for it. I hope they enjoy waiting years for their next damn doctors appointment.

Personally I'd been hoping that something had gone awry with the exit poll, somebody mangling a spreadsheet, worthy of the "sackcloth and ashes" thread, but it's looking obvious now how things are going.
But I'll stay up a bit longer as I've still got a lot of gin left.

As it happens I'm in an Air BnB tonight with work with neither a telly nor WiFi and am currently following along on my ancient brick of a phone's 1.5G Internet.
My night consists mostly of scrolling past the Guardian's begging letters to read second hand reports of what various obscure backbenchers make of the "not much happening" which coincidentally 100% matches whatever they were spouting at 21.59.
