Is there a way to make this site play "Lady In Red" in the background?
Can it be the special snooker version of Lady in Red?

#fridgegate is causing hilarity across the globe, from the Washington Post to the Times of India, from Fox News to Russia Today.
Everywhere, in fact, except for the BBC.
Funny that.

Well, TBF, it's election day so they can't join in the fun. International news can make hay but I expect you'll not find it on ITV or Channel 4 today either.

Johnson’s next meeting with Trump could be entertaining: “Captain Bonespurs, meet Captain Birdseye”.

I'd suggest their next meeting be scheduled for in a fridge, then lock it and leave it. But Grady would let them out.... Damned Overlook!

High early turnout being reported here in Norwich S.
High turnout at my work today, it was like f.cking Zulu by mid-morning. If I'd known, I'd have learnt the words to Men of Harlech before I went in.

Very Brexity area, so probably all Boris fans in those queues. Never seen it anywhere near as busy as this on polling day before.

Lots of Zulu Boris fans, eh?

Or were they all of the Michael Caine persuasion?

If jdc worked at my polling station I'd probably get confused and vote for jdc.

My wife was telling me that in Mexico they vote at weekends, and sales of alcohol are banned from the night before till polls close.

Like I needed another reason to hate democracy.

Voted, then bourbon. The party I would like to win has no chance so voted with a very firm grasp on my nose.

I got that from several people, a Facebook friend shared it with the following, "We all know that a fridge is the best place to keep a chicken"

My eldest daughter also shared it on our family WhatsApp chat

Reports from down here that a load of student, despite having registered and having their polling cards, are not allowed to vote
https://blogs.susu.org/blog/2019/12/12/ ... om-voting/

If they're all in Southampton Test constituency, then thats Alan Whitehead and he's quite a decent constituency MP and he shouldn't need those 70 votes. But if it does go all tits-up by a small amount, then that could get rather tasty.

Well I just voted. Pointless and faintly depressing.
Just tell 'em I'm broke and don't come round here no more.

It appears to have happened in Cardiff as well. Something about them not putting the full address on the application. If it is widespread, maybe some duff advice being given out somewhere?

Unlike most of you on here, I am not staying up for the results, me losing a nights sleep is not going to effect the result. Boris is going to have a majority and democracy will not be the same again- in my lifetime, which lets face it can't be that long. The only question in my mind is will there be a creditable opposition in 5 years time, for that to happen there either has to be massive changes to the Labour or they are repalced by a new left of centre Party. I have never been so depressed about the state of politics in UK, during the last 9 years we have had a dreadful government, and he last 4 years easily the worst ever and they are going to be reelected.

Well the exit poll says 86 majority. Let's see what he does with it.

Do we have to?

Can't we see him torn apart by dogs instead?

Well, he won't be able to blame anyone else for his incompetence in negotiations. So there's that.
And remember that if you botch the exit, the carnival of reaction may be coming to a town near you.
