Another great soundbite from Biden:
"You've got more questions?" Biden replied. "Well I tell you what, if you have a problem figuring out whether you're for me or Trump, then you ain't black."

Charlamagne responded, "It don't have nothing to do with Trump. It has to do with the fact, I want something for my community."

"Take a look at my record, man!" Biden shot back.

Obviously he intended it as a joke, but it's incredibly cringey sh.t - politicians shouldn't switch vernacular just because they're talking to a black person. Remember that weird interview with Ed Miliband and Russell Brand? Same ting.

The whole exchange makes him seem patronising (that the host couldn't possibly have researched his record) and entitled to black voters' support.

It's not like his record is unequivocally favourable to the black community (eg voting with segregationists against bussing) or the working class, and his platform could go a lot further.
