A BBC reporter has apparently referred on air to "if [Boris Johnson] wins the majority that he so deserves".

https://dorseteye.com/all-pretence-has- ... -majority/

In isolation I can believe she misspoke, but when so many 'little' mistakes are made that fall in the same direction. Best case scenario it's institutional bias and they're unintentionally showing their own preference.
That would be a very bad one indeed. And the video looks convincing. If so, WTF was she thinking of?

I tried to find of there was a response, to see if this is real, with a search for

"bbc wales" johnson "so richly deserves"

The third image that came up right underneath was...

I have no comment to make.

PS: If I get the "he so deserves" phrase right that picture s of David Moyes, which is even scarier.

I would assume she misspoke "deserves" for "desires" to be honest. Easily done.

"Misspoke", "Lied to", "Edited for time", meanwhile blatant lies that interviewers should recognise as such are allowed to pass unchallenged and Nigel receives his invite to the Question Time staff Xmas Party and editorial and production staff continue to be very sociable with senior members of certain parties. I always believed in the impartiality of the BBC but in very recent years I think there's been a change, it's not outright propagandising, but an institutional bias that shows in what makes it to air and means that genuine mistakes tend to fall one way.

Very much this. As I've said upthread, any one of these things could be written off with "Meh, we all make mistakes" and conclude that there's nothing to see.

When the State broadcaster makes a steady stream of mistakes that all benefit the ruling party, it starts to look like a policy.

I hate to praise Piers Morgan but at least he's pointed out what a gutless coward Johnson is. I think I'll watch the coverage on ITV tonight. Not that makes much difference if I go to bed after the exit poll.
And remember that if you botch the exit, the carnival of reaction may be coming to a town near you.

I briefly wondered if the fact that the Brexit Party had been soundly thrashed by the Greens, in terms of both seats and votes, and are now officially the UK's eleventh party (sixth by vote share), might have induced the BBC to remove their tongue from Farage's arse. What a naive fool I am.

What you on about.

Farage received 14,608,774 votes, 365 seats and 45.6% share, across his two parties. Vladimir is very pleased with him. The BBC is perfectly entitled to continue to interview him 60 or 70 times a day, given his success.

I'll be curious to see how the loyal and treasonous BBC is rewarded and punished for its obvious bias for and against the Tories and Brexit.

The Guardian had an article entitled something like, "Johnson opens up two-pronged on BBC." Do it would seem not at all. I think there are sufficient people (both MPs and advisors) in the Tory party who are ideologically opposed to the BBC to quite happily burn it to the ground all the while demanding more fawning from it.

This is just a variant on Trump's fake news campaign. Make it so that no one trusts the news media outlets that have any independence from The Party at all.
