I dunno if these links can answer your questions, because I think the jury is still out on a lot of this, but here you go anyway:

https://www.scmp.com/news/hong-kong/hea ... oduce-moreCoronavirus that causes Covid-19 can produce more than three times as many pathogens than Sars strain, HKU study reveals
Dr Chu Hin of HKU says Sars-CoV-2 can replicate 100 times within 48 hours, while the Sars virus replicated about 10 to 20 times at its peak

“So far, no transmission of the virus in supermarkets, restaurants or hairdressers has been proved.” - virology prof.
From that:

I'll still be washing all my groceries for the time being though. He could also not find any evidence of ‘living’ viruses on surfaces. “When we took samples from door handles, phones or toilets it has not been possible to cultivate the virus in the laboratory on the basis of these swabs….”
“To actually 'get' the virus it would be necessary that someone coughs into their hand, immediately touches a door knob and then straight after that another person grasps the handle and goes on to touches their face.” Streeck therefore believes that there is little chance of transmission through contact with so-called contaminated surfaces.

Can you 'cultivate' a virus? Asking for a friend.Brightonian wrote: ↑Fri Apr 17, 2020 6:15 pm“So far, no transmission of the virus in supermarkets, restaurants or hairdressers has been proved.” - virology prof.

My avatar was a scientific result that was later found to be 'mistaken' - I rarely claim to be 100% correct
ETA 5/8/20: I've been advised that the result was correct, it was the initial interpretation that needed to be withdrawn
Meta? I'd say so!

You can grow it in these: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vero_cell
The previous work which indicated that the virus hung around longer than that is https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7121658/

Tldr - farting could plausibly spread covid, but only if the fart is uncovered.
As people normally are wearing at least underwear, and only fart naked around people they share a house with, it's probably a minimal transmission risk.
There are plenty of health reasons not to allow naked strangers to fart on you, but coronavirus could be one of them.
We have the right to a clean, healthy, sustainable environment.
