Doc about the 1918 pandemic

Post by Tessa K » Thu Sep 03, 2020 10:10 am

Some of you may have seen this when it was first broadcast in 2018, the centenary of the 1918/19 flu pandemic. It's back on iPlayer now. While there are many differences (no war, for example) there are chilling similarities when it comes to the government ignoring experts.

At the end they talk about what would happen if there was another viral pandemic; it's depressingly optimistic in part. Clearly we are incapable of learning from history.
