Did I miss this announcement on here?

First room-temperature superconductor excites — and baffles — scientists
I missed the announcement as well, and I've got some papers in the Journal of Applied Superconductivity.

All we need is the equivalent of shrink wrap insulation that can apply a bit of pressure and we’ll be good to go.
I know this is vitriol, no solution, spleen venting, but I feel better having screamed, don’t you?

Isn’t it revealing how little we know about the world that even for a simple 3 element compound we can’t satisfactorily predict when it will become superconducting? (Highly) Educated guesses and experiment are the order of the day.
