It's got to be seen to be believed. The paper is behind a paywall but the Guardian has the press release, complete with a fantastic artist's reconstruction (which I've shamelessly nabbed from wikipedia, just as the Guardian did).

It’s like some sort of cross between a chicken and a fox.

So it can't be left on the riverbank by itself.

It has Mikado chocolate sticks growing out of its armpits. It can't be left anywhere with anyone.

Don't be silly those are the spears that killed it thrown by the cavemen it lived with, circa 10,000 BC, while protecting their mammoth herds.

The pterodactyls flew too high to hit.

Dave Hone.

He went extinct. Oh, no, wait: he started doing the fantastic Terrible Lizards podcast. Full of brilliant did-you-know facts for down the pub, which would be ideal if only pubs hadn't gone extinct.

Dave Hornes are similar but distinct from Dave Hones by virtue of their elongated Shatner's Bassoons and striking plumage.

Dave Horne is actually a Professor of Micropalaeontology* which buggered my google-fu, or that's what I'm blaming.
