In sorting through some papers that had ended up in the attic, I found a pricelist for computer bits from 1995

Here is a 1988 price list for the Psion Organiser and its accessories.

A 128 KB memory module (EPROM) is more expensive than the cheapest Organiser model, which had just 8K RAM and could not actually handle that 128KB module.

Note the price in the top right corner. I think this is from late '70s or early '80s. A 10TB disk (one million times larger) now costs about one tenth of the price.

I recall that the big external drives I was using in the mid ‘90s were 72Gb and cost about 5 grand. SCSI, and the adapter cards and cables were a small fortune as well.
