Hungarians sack weather forecasters for wrong forecast

The storm veered east and missed Budapest, which had postponed its fireworks after storm warnings.
Clearly postponing the fireworks was the right thing do to do, given the storm risk. But this is Hungary and that's probably not the point.

Better than sending people to prison for not predicting an earthquake. But not much.

I think we should fine weather forecasters every time they get one wrong.

We should also reward them for being specific and accurate, otherwise the weather forecast is just going to "chance of rain, chance of sunshine, possibly light winds with chances of strong gusts, slightly unseasonable temperatures."
