The postgrad in the hood next to mine at Uni caused reports of a gas leak in Cowley by letting rather a lot of Methanethiol go up the chuff. It went a long way down wind before it was dilute enough to smell like gas rather than a stink bomb.

You're using chuff in an unfamiliar way. I've always heard it used to mean the nether regions.
