Dexcom's diabetes family alert software is broken

Just a press release, but Dexcom (major player in medical devices) have a thing where families can get alerts and data from someone's blood glucose meter. Such alerts can be a great peace of mind thing for parents of children with type 1 diabetes, in case they go dangerously low in the night.
These alerts seem to have stopped being sent out, for reasons apparently unknown: the manufacturer said "it had not done any updates or technology changes that would have created the issue". Worrying time for parents or other caregivers who might have come to rely on it.
