EG.5 is otherwise known as "Eris", the WHO considers it 'of interest'.

Probably not particularly dangerous but will fuel a new wave, out of the usual season for that.

It's also well timed for all the people who'll be passing through airports this summer. I've already made one flight and I have another three to go.
