Wow, the corruption truly knows no bounds, does it.

That's pretty standard isn't it? I mean, what's the point in forming the company unless you know you've got the business rolling in.

Well here’s the full interview with Laura K so no doubt Ms Mone will explain!

She has now decided to take on Community Notes. It's not going well, perhaps not surprisingly since it didn't go well for Elmo last week.

A completely odious pair.

This idea that as the profits are currently in a trust this means she is not benefiting now is complete BS. Trusts are where all wealthy folk stash their cash. This is not some trust that only becomes relevant during inheritance. It's a wealth management vehicle.

When she said she hadn't bought a yacht - it's likely because a trust bought a yacht. Trusts mean you can avoid technically owning or earning anything.

What? So she doesn't see what's wrong with charging 60 million pounds for a few weeks work?
Because they weren't paid for the work, the money was placed into a trust on their behalf?

Whoa now folks...

She only defrauded the taxpayer out of millions and lied about it for her family... so that's totally fine then. And it's hardly criminal if you didn't need the money in the first place, right?

It's those poor people that steal medicine and food for their families, they're the real criminals.

She’s now having a go at Rishi Sunak

I’ve her looked at her Wikipedia page before but it’s quite something. This isn’t her first rodeo. In fact I am surprised to find she doesnt have a financial scandal connected with a rodeo company she set up before it went bust in suspicious circumstances

It would help a lot if we could have some insight into the gowns that PPM supplied.
Either they were OK or they weren't.
If they were OK, then why weren't they used and why is it being said that they weren't?
If they were not OK why is she insisting that they were?

I’ve watched the full interview and had a shower because it made me feel dirty.

It’s interesting that he says he didn’t use the money to buy a yacht and she Denis buying the yacht so who owns the f.cking yacht!?

Apparently the masks were ok and the gowns weren’t but the story seems to be evolving.

The interview really is astonishing

This thread is typical of the anti-business socialistic nonsense that infects this site.

The nation had a dire need of medical PPE, and she bravely stepped in to help to supply, at great commercial risk, and now you begrudge her a modest profit.

I expect you would rather had had some so-called PPE "expert" already on the NHS payroll deal directly with established manufacturers whose production capacities and technical capabilities were already understood. That's exactly the kind of hidebound backward public procurchasing nonsense that drags Great Britain down, the bureacratic red tape that strangles the entrepreneurial genius of having friends in high places and knowing a bloke who knows a Chinese guy.

You people make me sick. Not incompetent and corrupt government policy - YOU.

That's the beauty of a network of offshorre trusts. She probably doesn't own anything. One trust probably took out an interest-free loan from another trust to buy the yacht - and is then probably leasing the yacht to another trust. Which is renting it to her for her holidays, and she pays the rent using an interest free loan she obtained from another trust or by selling the naming rights (the right to call it "Lady M") to the yacht owning trust.

Lord Bethel apparently managed to recover at least one message from his phone regarding this. They are fighting like rats in a sack.

I’ve just been blocked by Lord Bethell for tweeting this. Seems harsh.

“I thought you didn’t have access to your messages?”

Lord Ashcroft once blocked me for something equally inoccuous and then claimed he only blocked abusive accounts which I would suggest is potentially legally defamation.

It's only defamation if the statement lowers your standing among "(morally) right thinking members of society".

I would suggest that posting rude messages about certain figures may do the opposite!!!

Has anyone been keeping track of the other cases? (Without derailing this one, I'm sure we could start a set of parallel threads.) I remember one crowd who had a connection with a racecourse and another who operated through a High Street Sofa shop. It was so long ago and I forget: did anyone keep a notebook? We had vars. threads on here at the time, but I can't now even remember the names to do a search for them.
Just wondering who's keeping a low profile whilst MM is taking all the flack.
