Judging by that carpet, the "storage location" appears to be Trump's nearest Wetherspoons.

That's probably the carpet in Trump's ex-"Bridal Suite" apartment at MAL.Bird on a Fire wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 11:33 amJudging by that carpet, the "storage location" appears to be Trump's nearest Wetherspoons.
Remember, this is someone who's idea of luxury has never left the 1980s.

How long until we find that he’s still got documents they haven’t found yet?
I’ve decided I should be on the pardon list if that’s still in the works

This is amazing. He's admitting crimes on his Truth Social thing. "I didn't leave the body lying there, I buried it by the tree."

Not a believer in putting the shovel down is he. But he has the best holes, the deepest holes, top people work on making sure his holes are the biggliest holes you can have.

Ha Libtards!
If you actually read the Espionage Act, Section 5(a)(i) clearly states:-
it is illegal to remove "Top Secret" category materials from their official place of storage without full authorisation. Unless these documents are then securely stored in cartons. It is extra illegal if these documents are spread out on carpets instead.
It's an obvious Deep State stitch-up of the rightful President.
So Suck it up, Buttercup!

Re: US 2021 Capitol insurrection
His lawyers have confirmed to the court he had the documents in his possession, knew about them and stored them in cartons. And also confirmed the documents had top-level classification markings.
Interestingly, in last night's filing they failed to present the "they were declassified by magic" defence.
Only defence left that I can think of: "it was a secure setting".
There's also the problem that his lawyers appear to have broken the law alongside him, opening up the risk that his attorney-client privilege could become void.
Trump's obsession with getting a special master is silly, the DOJ has told the court some with potential attorney-client privilege were filtered out by a separate internal team and all of the remainder have already been reviewed by the agents actually working on the case.

His latest lawyer seems even worse than his previous ones. As in possibly about as good as if Trump were to represent himself.lpm wrote: ↑Thu Sep 01, 2022 9:11 amHis lawyers have confirmed to the court he had the documents in his possession, knew about them and stored them in cartons. The WaPo has a good take on the redacted affidavit:

The audio version is worth a listen too.

ETA - total of 43 empty CLASSIFIED folders were found...Washington Post wrote:Box No. 25, for example, contains 76 magazines and articles published in 2016 and 2017. Mixed in with those media clippings was a government document with a “confidential” classification marking and another with a “secret” classification marking, according to the inventory list.
The box also contained 20 government documents and photographs with no classification, the court filing says. And there was an empty folder with a “CLASSIFIED” banner on it. It’s unclear if Trump and his associates took the folder from the White House without any documents in it, or if documents had been in the folder but were later removed.

Trump has lost Bill Barr as well - this thread is startling https://twitter.com/rschooley/status/15 ... q5X3aPyyxAFlammableFlower wrote: ↑Fri Sep 02, 2022 3:51 pmETA - total of 43 empty CLASSIFIED folders were found...Washington Post wrote:Box No. 25, for example, contains 76 magazines and articles published in 2016 and 2017. I suppose the big question is whether the contents of the 43 classified folders are elsewhere in the boxes which were returned/confiscated or whether they are now missing.
I’m pretty sure Trump still has more documentation hidden elsewhere.

I wonder if classified folders are all generic and interchangeable or whether they are marked with some sort of identifier to indicate what they might have once contained?Stranger Mouse wrote: ↑Fri Sep 02, 2022 7:30 pm

They must be labelled on the outside, surely?
Otherwise you'd need to look inside all the time to see if you've got the right one. "Wait, this isn't the file on Belgium's secret nuclear weapons, it seems to be about the UFO hidden at Roswell."

Actually multiple layers would make more sense.
Blank on the outside folder.
Then a label on the folder inside, saying who can go further.
Then a folder inside that, with the document identifiers.
Then the actual stuff.
Maybe Donald always liked pass the parcel and kept the wrappings.

Re: US 2021 Capitol insurrection
Transporting classified information normally requires a blank outer layer. Can be a briefcase, or at minimum another folder. You should never be in the situation where you can be photographed and people can see you have classified information in your hands.lpm wrote: ↑Fri Sep 02, 2022 9:18 pmActually multiple layers would make more sense.

It seems that Trump had documents on recent/current US intelligence operations in China and Iran.

Also, four months for Bannon for contempt of Congress.
