It first was a rumour dismissed as a lie, but then came the evidence none could deny:
a double page spread in the Sunday Express — the Russians are running the DHSS!

Stupid is as stupid does.
I guess the best we can say about this is that it helps weed out the stupid by natural selection.

This follows hot on the heels of them banning chemtrails, and then the voters who pushed for that being pissed off that they still see contrails.Rich Scopie wrote: Thu Sep 04, 2025 8:37 am bl..dy hell - this is bad.

Re: Vaccine ****ery
The irony being that it is possible to ban mostly eliminate chemtrails/contrails by rerouting aircraft to avoid regions of the atmosphere that would generate persistent contrails. This is likely to have a positive impact on climate change, but the contrail haters would probably hate that there would be an incidental benefit.Rich Scopie wrote: Thu Sep 04, 2025 3:38 pmMessiah on a velocipede...dyqik wrote: Thu Sep 04, 2025 11:32 am This follows hot on the heels of them banning chemtrails, and then the voters who pushed for that being pissed off that they still see contrails.

Yes, there's a likely CO2 burden of a few percentage points, but removing the persistent contrails would potentially allow far greater cooling of the atmosphere at night*, and this could reduce the warming effects of air travel by (reportedly) over 50%.
https://edition.cnn.com/travel/article/ ... n-spc-intl
* during the post 9/11 lockdown of US Airspace, the diurnal temperature variation over the country was significantly increased** https://www.jstor.org/stable/24868704 potentially due to the lack of contrails generated by air traffic
** doubters may suggest it was due to 'unusually clear weather' following 9/11, but maybe that was another side effect.

It's not vaccines, but it is RFK Jr - Trump officials reportedly set to tie Tylenol to autism risk

"No no, paracetamol is OK, it's acetaminophen and Tylenol that are the problem".
(Apparently, but I have no link, RFKjr has been seen getting Tylenol and Advil (aka ibuprofen) mixed up.)

I haven't bothered to check whether this is genuine, but these days these things always seem to be.

It's genuine
Re: Vaccine ****ery
It bizarre to me that Trump is letting RFK run amok and doesn't seem to regard him as a political liability
Have you considered stupidity as an explanation

I suppose on the mildly-could-be-worse side he is still talking about getting the shots

Not only that - he's recommending shots that are not currently part of the routine childhood vaccination schedule.Imrael wrote: Sat Sep 27, 2025 11:09 am I suppose on the mildly-could-be-worse side he is still talking about getting the shots
Hep B is not routine - and chicken pox is only being added to the UK schedule in January 2026.
