Facebook has presented me an option which I’m having to think about. Do I want to pay £3.99 a month for no ads and to not provide my data for ads, or do I want to use for free?
I use Facebook for a few things, even though it is immeasurably shittier than it once was. Are those things worth paying £3.99 a month for? What do they mean by no ads? Do they just mean for products I might want to buy and games that probably don’t actually exist in the form shown, or do they also mean all the random click-bait rage engaging stuff that is fed to me in an endless stream completely subsuming most of what I want to see?

I dumped it over a year ago. No regrets.
Wish I could dump their WhatsApp as well, but far to many people use it for messaging instead of Signal.
