Boris: "We could always have a deal like Canada or Australia have with the EU"
Ursula von der Leyen: "Sure, happy to do either, but Canada's deal has stringent "Level-playing field" rules in it (the ones the Tories have been dancing around saying they don't need) and Australia trades with the EU on WTO rules..."
...and the EU and Australia would like an actual trade deal.
"Go and ask for a long stand"
"Fetch me some tartan paint"
But, "We'll get an Australian type deal" is a wonderful fools errand isn't it. This is on a national level... stand back and admire the gullibility of little England.
Five more years of this bollocks and bluster... and even then I wonder if his reckoning will come or will he, with the aid of a complicit media, be able to sweep all this shite under the carpet. After all, it's like the emperors new clothes but in this case there are 17.4M folks proudly swanning about 'in their finery' and convincing each other they look great. How many voters will admit they got it wrong?

I notice it's gone quiet from a certain pro-Brexit commentator here... or is that enough to summon them?
He's just waiting for us all to be proven wrong when Britain booms again as soon as we're freed of the shackles of making and selling stuff to Europeans.

And the shackles of a service sector, or even primary industries

I think he has probaly left as Brexit is done and dusted. We have left the EU. Hurrah.
On the plus side for multinationals about to get stuffed by a WTO Brexit, the weakening of labour laws may make closing down the office/factory somewhat cheaper. Wonder where unemployment will be this time next year?

Nope, he left because he was being oppressed by unfair moderator actions.

Can confirm. It was shortly after some other posters threatened to leave because they thought we moderated him unfairly - in the opposite direction.

Indeed. Like Shroedinger's mods*, we are simultaneously too lax and too overbearing. In a genuinely successful community**, obviously, everyone would agree and everything would be perfect.
*I use this analogy precisely because it's slightly wrong and will annoy some people

Thanks!
"He gazed up at the enormous face. Forty years it had taken him to learn what kind of smile was hidden beneath the dark moustache. O cruel, needless misunderstanding! O stubborn, self-willed exile from the loving breast! Two gin-scented tears trickled down the sides of his nose. But it was all right, everything was all right, the struggle was finished. He had won the victory over himself.
He loved the Nazi Mod c.nts."

Well I've waited 45 minutes to get into Spain even before we 'left' the EU - could be not being a member of Schengen? Having said that, we waited for nearly an hour the last time we came into Heathrow, and 45 minutes at East Midlands*
* For those of you unfamiliar with our local East Mids hub, it's perfectly possible to have to queue outside facing the fury of the elements so he really shouldn't f.cking whine.
Among the throng forming an orderly queue to take turns to laugh at poor Colin, I did spot one exasperated voice pointing out that nothing whatsoever has so far changed at Schipol as a result of Brexit.
But we should probably send a gunboat. Just to be sure.

Over an hour at Charles de Gaulle once myself, probably three flights came in at once at lunchtime on a bridge day. But:

Generally doesn't that show you were doing it right?
With Shexit complete he has thrown off the dead hand of the Scrutable mods and is now looking forward to a glorious bucaneering future posting on Chinese forums.

"If nobody's happy, we're happy." - traditional mod saying
Anyway, I just had to wait in a 20 minute queue in the supermarket here in Portugal. Definitely Brexit's fault, and not because it was just after work on a Friday that's also valentine's. And I just renewed my passport, so I won't get a blue one till 2030 (if at all).
