FACT: Coronavirus pandemic successfully launched.
FACT: Aircraft grounded and chemtrail programme ended.
Coincidence? I think not.

Re: Corona-woo
Since Trump mentioned it, seen a definate upswing in the numbers of people claiming that COVID-19 was made in a lab and either accidentally or deliberately released.
Anyone know any good blogs refuting this (a nice entertaining one) - they seem to do better than more serious blogs when going with nutjobs

I don't, and it's completely not my field, but if I may I'll just bring a quote which cheered me up a lot, written by an old acquaintance on an unrelated forum when he got rubbed up the wrong way by a wot-I-reckon clown who felt he was entitled to his opinion about Covid-19 escaping from a lab and came back for more after being gently told he was misinformed:Cardinal Fang wrote: ↑Thu Apr 16, 2020 9:53 pmSince Trump mentioned it, seen a definate upswing in the numbers of people claiming that COVID-19 was made in a lab and either accidentally or deliberately released.

"The full genomic sequence is in the public domain, and has been analysed by literally hundreds of thousands of bioinformaticians and molecular biologists. So far* about 200-300 diagnostic tests have been developed based on primer sets designed base on this sequence. Anything manmade will have obvious clues in the sequence. It is impossible to create a synthetic virus without leaving the tell tale sequences of restriction enzyme sites and so forth. The Department of Homeland Security has specific equipment as well that is aimed at detecting these kind of threats, including unknown and novel threats.
This is an unfortunate natural event, possibly related to the soaring price of pork in China due to the African Swine Fever outbreak that has all but wiped out their pig population."
* As of 23rd March.
ETA He's something in biological and chemical defence but if I knew any more I would presumably have to shoot myself.

I suppose the foregoing rules out it originating in America as well?

He only went as far as "possibly related to" the price of pork in China. I'm in no position to put words in his mouth. But he's clearly convinced it didn't get made in a lab, in any country.Herainestold wrote: ↑Fri Apr 17, 2020 8:27 pmI suppose the foregoing rules out it originating in America as well?

TBF he’s also recently published a paper disproving the Dunning-Kruger Effect.

Is it cynical to wonder whether Young actually wants the lockdown to end, or whether he's running interference for Johnson who can claim that he's now steering a moderate line because there's a debate?
Maybe they'll try the same with PPE. A policy of inadequate PPE for health and care workers is merely the sober middle course between the extremes of those saying it's overhyped and they need nothing, and those who arge for effective equipment.
Have you considered stupidity as an explanation

Note how he doesn't mention the name of the leading epidemiologist from Finland in that tweet.jimbob wrote: ↑Tue Apr 21, 2020 9:19 amIs it cynical to wonder whether Young actually wants the lockdown to end, or whether he's running interference for Johnson who can claim that he's now steering a moderate line because there's a debate?

FWIW the bloke in question is Mikko Paunio.geejaytee wrote: ↑Tue Apr 21, 2020 10:02 amToby Young cares about one thing only, that is Toby Young. I'm not saying his political opinions colour his interpretation of science but he is on record describing AGW as “neo-Marxist absurd red-green identity ideology.”

Seeing Trump's advocating of injecting disinfectant, I'm sure the MMS wooster are going to be coming round again.
Anyone co-ordinating/ flagging up any UK advocates?

Re: Corona-woo
Today I had someone on Twitter demand that I show them a scientific paper proving [sic] that coronaviruses can be transmitted between humans. He saved me some time by triumphantly informing me that there wasn't one, so there.
This was in the context of a conversation in which another participant believed that all of the unaccounted-for excess deaths (i.e., total UK deaths last month, minus COVID-19 certified deaths, minus 5-year moving average of all-cause mortality for the same period) were being caused *by the lockdown*. Apparently several thousand people have died in the past month from too much getting up late, Netflix, and w.nking.

First thought was "who?" but then I looked and saw that she recommended we neutralize heavy metals because they slow-up the electromagnetic frequency of our cells, which sounds so legit that I'm totally going to bathe in bleach because my energy field is important to me.Holylol wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 11:03 amCristina Cuomo is trying to compete with Trump apparently:

No. Saw that. But MMS has it's advocates in the UK as well, albeit a lot more circumspect than the used to be now they're on the skeptic's radar (we can thank Rhys Morgan for that). So wondering whether a group is taking the lead on highlighting them, should aforementioned woosters pop their heads up again in the UK.Gfamily wrote: ↑Fri Apr 24, 2020 8:29 pmYou may have missed thisCardinal Fang wrote: ↑Fri Apr 24, 2020 8:24 pmSeeing Trump's advocating of injecting disinfectant, I'm sure the MMS wooster are going to be coming round again.

Luc Montagnier has joined the “Coronavirus was bioengineered” woo peddlers. Link (to Snopes) here. Montagnier started to go off the rails quite a few years ago with his “DNA teleportation” crankery.
