Hornets, but not wasps, are a type of humming-bird.

Bees are wasps whose mams tell them to "keep their jumpers on because it could rain".
This place is not a place of honor, no highly esteemed deed is commemorated here, nothing valued is here.
What is here was dangerous and repulsive to us.
This place is best shunned and left uninhabited.

Well I've successfully derailed this thread!
Baby coots and other birds belonging to the rail family are known as railings. There, I’ve re-railed it.

The OED doesn't say so, so I think you making that claim is beyond the pale.

ETA 5/8/20: I've been advised that the result was correct, it was the initial interpretation that needed to be withdrawn

Ooh, pedantry is it? Well, I suppose at least you aren’t sitting on the fence.

Merriam-Webster, rail noun (2):
: any of numerous wading birds (family Rallidae, the rail family) that are of small or medium size and have short rounded wings, a short tail, and usually very long toes which enable them to run on the soft mud of marshes
In court, instead of being called to the bar may folk be called to the rail?

Or would that be raillery?

I've no problem with rails being birds, I'm railing about baby rails not being railings according to the OED.

Only oop north.
And remember that if you botch the exit, the carnival of reaction may be coming to a town near you.
