If there are groups of men in unidentified gear (a badge saying Police means f.ck all without a number next to it) scooping people into vans, shouldn’t it be possible to call the police on them?
I mean it should be, but good f.cking luck with that. People who complain about police brutality in the US have a tendency to die in weird circumstances, so it's not just a case of the complaint going nowhere.
The type of people being black-bagged are 'people who look like Black Lives Matter protestors'; it doesn't take much reading between the lines to realise that that's a group of people who don't have good experiences with calling the police in general (because they might arrest or shoot you).
One of the most pernicious effects of this is that there have already been cases of paramilitary militias attending protests, staging counter protests, harassing protestors, etc. Now there are federal officers behaving in the same way, victims of any actual militias can't fight back for fear of repercussions from the law enforcement system.
We have the right to a clean, healthy, sustainable environment.
