Liberbearians
Liberbearians
Mod note: split from monster island thread, in an egregious example of overreach by pseudo-statist powers. Ready your handguns, the Fat Bears are coming.
Not an island, and also pointed out to me by Stephanie, but you should see what happens when Libertarians try to do real life as well:
The Town That Went Feral
- When a group of libertarians set about scrapping their local government, chaos descended. And then the bears moved in.

ETA damn you for posting that. I was going to start a thread on it. It was going to be called "liberbearians"Pressed by bears from without and internecine conflicts from within, the Free Town Project began to come apart. Caught up in “pitched battles over who was living free, but free in the right way,” the libertarians descended into accusing one another of statism, leaving individuals and groups to do the best (or worst) they could. Some kept feeding the bears, some built traps, others holed up in their homes, and still others went everywhere toting increasingly larger-caliber handguns.

Mods, please split the thread and use this title!EACLucifer wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 7:14 pm

Splitter!
Re: Liberbearians
This is the best thing I've read all week, probably longer. Book bought.
Re: Liberbearians
Excellent read. I'll link to it next time I encounter libertarians on the net.
And remember that if you botch the exit, the carnival of reaction may be coming to a town near you.

I for one welcome our new bear overlords
I've now got the Mitchell and Webb sketch "Adopt a mad bear" in my head
