US Election
Re: US Election
I'm growing to appreciate the writers for introducing Sidney as part of the build up to the season finale.

And in somewhat unsurprising news Trump not only pardons turkeys but Turkish assets this Thanksgiving.

She has filed a new lolsuit in Michigan.EACLucifer wrote: ↑Thu Nov 26, 2020 8:58 amIn case you are wondering how things are going on the lolsuit front, Sidney Powell has misspelled "district" twice in the first sentence of her filing, and not even misspelled it the same way twice, either.
And spelled DISTRCT wrong again.

Donor sues pro-Trump group: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles ... tion-fraud
A pro-Trump group that promised to challenge the Nov. 3 election results and expose fraud was sued by a North Carolina money manager who donated $2.5 million to the cause but says he didn’t get his money’s worth.
Fred Eshelman, founder of Eshelman Ventures LLC, wants his money back, saying he “regularly and repeatedly” asked for updates on the project but his “requests were consistently met with vague responses, platitudes, and empty promises,” according to the lawsuit filed Wednesday in Houston federal court.
Re: US Election
Just wondering why you'd admit to putting 2.5m into funding the lolsuits.
Though, to be fair, he hasn't got his money worth.

I mean, if you like Trump, surely you'd be happy to be cheated out of millions of dollars? It's what he does.

Having consumed all of its fuel of lies, his core has now compressed to the point of igniting its store of excuses, and is expected to burn through that by some point in January followed by a final unstoppable collapse and catastrophic detonation. His orange surface will noticeably redden during this current phase and expand dramatically, making all surrounding items such as furniture look out of scale.Little waster wrote: ↑Fri Nov 27, 2020 3:13 pmIIRC the outward force of the hot gases he expels remains finely-balanced with the immense gravitational force of his vast bulk.

The Pennsylvania lolsuit appeal just got kicked out.
As expected, they didn't bother to think too hard or ask to see anything - they just unanimously rejected it. The brief was written by a Trump appointee and is pretty scathing.

Re: US Election
So what now for the republicans?
As I understand it, trump is still their next candidate in 2024. He's not going to step down. He might die or go to prison.
Assuming he's still eligible, what are the options for the GOP to replace him, and how likely is it? Might he tear the party asunder like a mirror-image Corbyn?

The Republican primary on 2024 will choose their candidate. If they forgo a primary, then it's up to state parties to appoint their candidate in their state.Bird on a Fire wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 12:05 amSo what now for the republicans?

In NY, it's even weirder, as the Working Families Party appoints the winner of the Democratic nomination as their candidate, who appears on the ballot alongside the Democratic nominee, and the Conservative Party do the same on the Republican side. But they could split...
