"huge concessions"

"OH MY GOODNESS"

(and other unverifiable stuff)
Brexiteers are already denouncing it as a betrayal, sight unseen.
Good.

So where the Sun says "The record breaking accord will have been forged in less than a year and will allow free trade to continue without tariffs of quotas in a major win for Britain." they're celebrating Boris getting a deal with is the same deal we had back in 2016 when we were members. All that for no gain. Not something I'd be boasting about.

So the Brexit deal will have been thrashed out by pulling an all-nighter right before the deadline?

On-brand for this government.

Similar all-nighters have happened before every major European treaty. Although I don’t remember the deadlines keeping moving.

Don't forget though, that on top of that the NHS will land an extra 350 million a week starting next week (and uprated by Boris to 438 million by the end of next year).

As far as trade goes it’s a far worse deal. To start with exports of services will be more difficult, and there will be checks on goods leaving and entering.

But didn't Boris say that's how the EU works, so he never expected anything else, and has snared them into his cunning plan? What a statesman.

Well the important thing is coming to some sort of deal late on Xmas Eve (or Boxing Day or the 28th ...) gives business plenty of time to prepare for the new regime from 11pm on the 31st December when they all return to work on ... *checks notes* ... the 4th January.
This place is not a place of honor, no highly esteemed deed is commemorated here, nothing valued is here.
What is here was dangerous and repulsive to us.
This place is best shunned and left uninhabited.

The government wrote:"Everything that the British public was promised during the 2016 referendum and in the general election last year is delivered by this deal."

"We have taken back control of our money, borders, laws, trade and our fishing waters

"The deal is fantastic news for families and businesses in every part of the UK.

"We have signed the first free trade agreement based on zero tariffs and zero quotas that has ever been achieved with the EU.

"The deal is the biggest bilateral trade deal signed by either side, covering trade worth £668bn in 2019.

"The deal also guarantees that we are no longer in the lunar pull of the EU, we are not bound by EU rules, there is no role for the European Court of Justice and all of our key red lines about returning sovereignty have been achieved.

"It means that we will have full political and economic independence on 1st January 2021."

"A points-based immigration system will put us in full control of who enters the UK and free movement will end.

"We have delivered this great deal for the entire United Kingdom in record time, and under extremely challenging conditions, which protects the integrity of our internal market and Northern Ireland’s place within it.

"We have got Brexit done and we can now take full advantage of the fantastic opportunities available to us as an independent trading nation, striking trade deals with other partners around the world."

I look forward to the £350million a week for the NHS
And remember that if you botch the exit, the carnival of reaction may be coming to a town near you.

Credit to Johnson. A year ago I was skeptical as to whether it could be negotiated in twelve months. But it was.

So many hot takes about a 2000 pages quasi-legal document right now. I doubt even if both negotiating teams fully understand all of its implications.

Yes, it’ll take people days to read it. Weeks to understand it.

Makes ratification a joke.

And find that the agreement bans schools or something
