Something seen under the Antarctic ice

Post by dyqik » Wed Mar 10, 2021 6:01 pm

A W- boson created by a high energy cosmic ray antineutrino seen by IceCube.

IceCube detection of a high-energy particle proves 60-year-old theory

Basically the trifecta of physics: particle physics, astronomy and really big experiments in exotic places :)

I was hoping for something biological but I get subatomic particles are pretty cool too.
it's okay to say "I don't know"

Yeah it'll start out like that but it will still end with Kurt Russell running amok with a flamethrower while not apparently breathing.

Any excuse for THE definitive version
This place is not a place of honor, no highly esteemed deed is commemorated here, nothing valued is here.
What is here was dangerous and repulsive to us.
This place is best shunned and left uninhabited.
