Denmark to drop AstraZeneca jab from Covid programme
Czechia was immediately offering to buy their unused doses apparently.

Maybe the end of the road for AZ. All those doses being manufactured all over the globe, as we speak.shpalman wrote: ↑Wed Apr 14, 2021 8:20 pmDenmark to drop AstraZeneca jab from Covid programme

I expect we will stick with it, maybe a few others, but it isn't going to be the vaccine that saved the world.
I doubt America will adopt it, but they have 10s of millions of doses in warehouses. Likely ship them to their neighbours.

I would love to applaud, but I think this may come back to haunt them. Nobody in Spain is talking about removing the remaining restrictions (which are fairly light, at least where I am: masks indoors everywhere, which people do without thinking now, but only very limited bans on meeting up with your mates for a 2am party, and no requirement for a certificate to enter a bar or restaurant).shpalman wrote: ↑Fri Sep 10, 2021 10:55 amDenmark becomes first EU nation to lift all Covid restrictions

We just had a big wave which for some reason is steadily subsiding (I wonder if Delta gets a bit shagged out after a certain number of replications), although thankfully deaths were far lower than in previous waves. I don't think anyone here expects to get on a bus without a mask this side of 2022.
