General Election '24
Re: General Election '24
What you've missed: looks like the exit poll was optimistic for the Tories. Certainly they won't be getting upside from the 131 target.
LD and Labour doing well.
No lols so far, but Basildon in recount is promising.

Re: General Election '24
Yes. But because it's done on the probability basis it isn't a precise miss vs the exit poll.

Monster Raving Loony Party wins Kingston and Surbiton. They'd been campaigning hard all over the country to win that one.

I found myself wondering if, for that brief moment when Bridget Philipson was the only MP in the country, she could storm Buckingham Palace and demand the army support her.
It's been a really long day.

Given they know that the press will ignore them in favor of Nazi Nigel "1 MP" Farage, it's a sensible national press strategy.El Pollo Diablo wrote: Fri Jul 05, 2024 1:41 am Monster Raving Loony Party wins Kingston and Surbiton. They'd been campaigning hard all over the country to win that one.

Lol, I know. I enjoyed all the antics, and I'm pleased the Lib Dems will be more heavily represented in Parliament.

Re: General Election '24
Ah, they broken away from Farage temporarily. To hear from that Starmer bloke who is also doing quite well.
