What's left?

Apart from Truss.

Have we had Esther McVey? I hate her.

Green in Brighton?

sh.t, has anyone checked the rules, I'm not sure that's allowed. If he's disqualified, who's the most senior Oxford graduate who will become PM?

As bad a night as this is for the Tories, it's possibly worse for the Scottish Nationalists. Of their 48 seats before tonight 38 have declared and they've lost 34 of those. If every one of their remaining seats is held (some big rural constituencies, so will take a while to count) they'll have gone down to 14!

The Tories have no seats in Wales. Total wipeout.

Starmer has an MA from Oxford.

Churchill was the last non-Oxbridge PM, I think?

ETA: no, Callaghan. No, Major

Doesn't count, bachelor's degree only here. Churchill had no degree, but John Major was the last on that score. Brown was the last non-Oxbridge grad PM, but he didn't win an election.

Dammit, Esther McVey won.

That said, how funny would it be if she became leader?

Blackburn is another Labour loss to an independent. Starmer should have been far more careful when talking about Gaza.

Labour: 410 to 405 to 410 again

Con 131 to 154 to 144 now

LD 61 to 56 to 58

Ref 13 to 4 to 4 still
Labour : 410 to 405 to 410 to 406

Con: 131 to 154 to 144 to 136

LD 61 to 56 to 58 to 66

The LibDem pessimism looked odd when they were storming ahead in some tough seats.
The Labour miss is due to losing 4 to independents plus 1 to the IDS f.ck up.

Labour vote share is only 35.7% currently. Can't imagine that'll increase much. Still work to do.

CONs are currently on 92

With only 91 seats left to declare

I know their shires come in late, but are they really going to get half the remaining seats?

Final weekly estimate of the Labour voting % was 39.3%. Current vote share is 35.2%. Tories are up 1 point on their average.

So there's that four-point drop again.
