Exactly. I'm really struggling to think what could have given purplehaze the impression that there's some huge Johnson fan club on here.

As I live not a million miles from Chequers, and Johnson was occasionally seen in town, I used to practice what I was going to say to him if I ever had the chance, but I never managed to come up with words that were sufficiently venomous to please me. The possibility of shaking his hand never crossed my mind for a moment.
