I've stayed up for every election since 1987. Not this one.

Watching C4. Amber Rudd on panel. Her daughter in the audience was briefly interviewed. Said she'd rather dip her tampons in Tabasco than become an MP. Amber's face was a picture.

Those two have been at it chatting on social media as some kind of comedy tag team. Bleurgh.

Quite enjoying the C4 coverage. Jimmy Carr is surprisingly insightful. Or reality is sufficiently weird right now for comedians to look sensible next to politicians and journalists.

I'm nearly out of booze. I'm down to and weird polish hazelnut liqueur and some weird Czech herbal thing, and some port I bought to take to the UK as a present.

OK I'm trying not to be too much of a dick but someone on BBC now just saying they voted Tory rather than Labour because 'they can't vote for someone who puts their ego ahead of the country'.

Actually I think we should get rid of Richard Burgon. I don't have a particularly high opinion of myself but I think even I could probably do a better job as shadow justice secretary than him.

Anyway, yes it is everyone else's fault except mine and it is DEFINITELY not the fault of the people who actually won this election by being lying unprincipled swindlers who literally do not care about anything except their own power, prestige and money.

I certainly believe he was a, probably the, major factor in losing this election, certainly as abjectly as this. Polling and all the stuff coming back from the doorstep has supported this, but we've done all that.

And how many times have I said around here that dumping the c.nt is just where they have to start to pull it round? Or do you think retaining him as leader is the way forward?

Labour lost because their offering simply wasn't good enough. It's Labour's job now to fix that. Then the rest of us get to decide whether we want to vote for that or not.

I'm taking responsibility for how little I've done and that I have consistently failed to recognise that having a small impact on things is just as worthwhile as trying to effect significant change. I need to stop thinking that I can somehow magically change sh.t laws forever, just one day, if I try hard enough and get the right kind of work.
