They don’t. ‘Jose’ interviewed in the article is an undocumented migrant and a Trump supporter (he wanted Trump to win even though he couldn’t vote).

Right - the way I read the article seemed to imply undocumented migrants were voting for Trump. Your second paragraph is a more likely explanation of where the rise in support for Trump comes from.Gfamily wrote: Tue Mar 11, 2025 10:35 am I think TB's point is that even if undocumented migrants support Trump, they can't have contributed to his vote.
But those with the vote living in the same communities may well share the same concerns and will have seen how undocumented friends and families have been possibly adversely impacted by having people 'shipped' into their areas.
No, it's illegal to hire undocumented migrants. They typically work for cash.TopBadger wrote: Tue Mar 11, 2025 10:42 am
So businesses are free to hire undocumented migrants? I could well imagine Trump targeting that on his purge, unless of course Trump Towers / Mar-a-lago are full of undocumented workers doing his bidding for peanuts, then he has 'skin in the game' to keep them around.
Ah OK. Its clearer in the original article, but I was trying to avoid excessive quotation.TopBadger wrote: Tue Mar 11, 2025 10:42 amRight - the way I read the article seemed to imply undocumented migrants were voting for Trump.
