“It could be reflex. On most people, if you hit their patellar tendon with a small rubber mallet, you get a knee jerk. With Trump, it’s possible that if you hit his patellar tendon with a small rubber mallet, you get a lawsuit,” said Justin Levitt, a law professor at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles.

That's a nice surprise - betting markets have Biden 40-1 on. About 12 hours ago it was 25-1 on, then slipped to 14-1 on about 6 hours ago and I thought "oh no".
Posts like this baffle me, because I have no idea what a betting market is or how it works. There’s a whole world of gambling out there that I occasionally look at when going to dog or horse races with friends, and it makes no sense to me so I turn around and walk away.
You get your stake back plus what they offer in return. For Biden's "40-1 on" ("40-1" is pronounced "40 to 1"), if you bet £40 and he wins, they pay you £41. Trump's at "10-1 against", so if you bet £1 on a Trump win and he does win, they pay you £11.
I started to do a long post on betting such as above and the various variants but it looked like it was going to drag on for 500-1000 words, so I'll leave it as above.

National defence airspace set up over Biden’s home. That’s a government decision. Tromp must be absolutely tantrumming about that.

I don’t think they’ve started counting them yet. I could be wrong.

In fact this happened on Wednesday. The Secret Service is able to understand an electoral map.

Thanks, I did wonder where marijuana came into that. I presume there’s some reason why that’s a bit deeper.
4:20 as a meme for cannabis consumption has

I suspect most Secret Service officers will be profoundly relieved by this result. I doubt if many of them subscribe to critical race theory, but they will have hated trying to serve an impossible toddler. It's one of the stories that I'm most looking forward to seeing when the history is written, along with, well, all the others really.

How long before Biden is outside the barricaded White House, saying "I have an honorable compromise. Just walk away. Leave the presidency, the the government, the nuclear codes, and the whole White House, and I spare your lives. Just walk away. I will give you safe passage in the wasteland. Just walk away and there will be an end to the malarkey. I await your answer. You have one full day to decide."

Some good minor downballot stuff, too - a woman has beaten an incumbent sheriff who fired her for being lesbian, and the bastard DA that protected the bastards that lynched Ahmad Arbaury has been removed, along with some gains for criminal justice reform in some other downballot races.

Bucks County just tipped a few more into the pot. I’ve been wearing my Doylestown Bikeworks T-shirt all day, which has evidently done the job. Looking forward to a work call with our Philadelphia site in the next few minutes.

Definitely going to be a recount in Georgia.
What's the betting that Trump will use the inevitable slightly different number in the result as evidence of fraud?

Currently, yes. Probably not once Pittsburgh and Philadelphia's counts are completed, and even if we are, not close enough to be likely to change anything.
Without with actual unclear ballots like hanging chad-gate, state-wide recounts only change totals by 1000 votes or so. Florida recounts mattered in 2020 because the margin was ~525 votes that were genuinely unclear.

Nevada results are coming in, now. Jon Ralston, who is good with things Nevada, says it's over. Trump's rural gains radically outpaced by Clark County, Biden's lead already nearly twice what it was pre-vote-release, and more of what's left to come is Clark than rural.
May as well call Nevada for Biden now.
ETA: Dave Wasserman has the Maricopa County results as well behind the run rate for Trump, so that looks like Arizona can be/stay called, too.
Pennsylvania and Georgia are coming in for Biden, but even without them, that's the match.
