Maybe we are slow adopters, but her new phone is the first usb C device we have, everything else is micro usb, with the sole exception of my Olympus camera that uses a bastard design unique to Olympus.

Poundland sell A to C cables, or you'll get one should you buy practically any USB charging device (for camping or cycling) you'll get one included.

Those poundland cables are sh.t. It's likely to take an extra 24 hours to charge. Faster to wait a day to buy something decent.

Still, at least if you want a cable which only does charging and not data, just keep using it and it will become that eventually.
